Selah
College
and Young Professionals
Selah
(College aged and young professional – “9 to 25”)
Selah
in Hebrew has a meaning of “to propel like a missile.” This ministry emphasizes
to the college-age and young professionals a pursuit of truth, purity
and community in a secular culture. Selah meets every Wednesday at 7:30
pm for worship, music, Bible study and sports/games. The meeting place
on the first Wednesday of each month is the Wilfred Annex (blue portables)
with the remaining Wednesday’s of each month in Founder’s Hall.
Life
on Life is the name for the overall ministry of Youth at The Peoples Church.
It is a Christ centered ministry where young people are encouraged to
encounter Christ in a personal way through worship, music, Bible studies
and fellowship/community. Our goal is to bring each individual to a place
where they know that they are loved by God and that He wants to be a part
of their life. We believe that these years in which young people find
themselves (teenage and young adulthood) are the launching pad to the
rest of their lives. That is why a solid foundation in the Word of God,
worship and developing relationships with other believers is important
to living the life that God would have them live in the future.
Under
the canopy of Life on Life Youth Ministries are three groups: the junior
high group called Vista; the senior high group called Aletheia; and the
college/careers-aged group known as Selah. In addition to the individual
group meetings during the week there is “Soularize” the Sunday
morning youth worship service which meets in the Wilfred Annex each Sunday
morning at 11:15 am.

information can be obtained from calling the church office at (416) 222-3341

A youth leader would be more than happy to assist you in anyway or answer
any of your questions.
