The
Psalm Club
People
Serving As Lay Ministers
Psalm is an acronym for People Serving As Lay Ministers.
It is the official ministry of the church for those who are 55+.
Mission
Statement
To provide adults 55+ with a ministry which will result in their spiritual
growth, outreach to non-believers, nurture and fellowship with one another,
so that Gods power will be declared to the next generation.
Organization
A fifteen member executive oversees the planning and carrying through
the ministries offered. In addition, there are thirty-five phoners who
make contact with 300 or more seniors monthly. The executive members have
taken on different aspects of the ministry such as music, welcoming, song
leading, etc.
The group meets in the gym of the church building on the third Saturday
of the month from 10:15 a.m. ending with a hot meal at noon. Two to three
day bus trips are held annually with one major trip lasting 3-5 days as
well.
Publication
The Mature Times is a bi-monthly eight page publication with
articles written by Psalm writers.
