Singles & Singles Again
North of Forty is a ministry to
singles and single again for those who are forty to sixty-five years of
age.
Our
Mission Statement
God
is calling “Singles and Single Again” in the greater Toronto area to
grow spiritually, to esteem one another in love, and to use their gifts to
encourage each other. These goals will be accomplished through regularly
planned activities, prayer meetings, Bible study, shepherds meetings, and
social events, anticipating God’s blessing.
Our
Activities
Each
Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. we serve a hot meal for $6.00 followed by Bible
study at 7:30 p.m. and at 8:30 p.m. a fellowship social time. These
activities are held in the north gym. We welcome
newcomers and you are welcomely
invited. Twice
a month we have hikes, canoeing, picnics and other interesting events such
as pot-luck dinners, musicals, etc. These are held Saturday afternoon or
evenings.
Organization
The
North of Forty has a 15 member executive that oversees the ministries. The
official paper of North of Forty is “The Single Scoop” which is a
bi-monthly eight page publication produced by the members of the group.
In
addition, the group has been divided into seven shepherd groups with a
chairperson and an associate. This group meets the third Wednesday of the
month.
