Music and Worship

Worship is a vital part of The Peoples Church. Music, drama and other worship arts are important components of our worship experience as we seek to bring worshippers into a fresh and exciting encounter with the living God.

The Ministry

• The Peoples Church Worship Choir: Celebrate the Lord with us! The choir blends 80 voices into one spirit as we sing a diverse range of music in worship services and our annual major productions. Choir provides the core support for worship teams, and smaller ensembles.
• The Peoples Church Worship Orchestra: The orchestra, usually in conjunction with the choir, understands the joy which comes through sharing music with our church family as we minister in Sunday worship services. We also provide instrumental support for major productions and more intimate events throughout the year. It is from this group we draw a number of ensembles (i.e. worship bands).
• Ensembles: These ensembles, made up of smaller vocal and/or instrumental groups (usually derived from our choir and/or orchestra), serve musically in a variety of ministries and other venues which may include weddings and ministry outside of the facility.
• Drama: There are those whose gifts often take us to another time and/or place bringing to life various characters through acting, scriptwriting, directing, modern dance, choreography, set design and more. Drama can enhance the message and lead us to a deeper walk with God.
• Technical Ministries: Technical support takes care of details in almost every aspect of ministry at The Peoples Church. The Technical Ministries Crew works quietly, efficiently and effectively behind the scenes of services, programs and major productions to ensure the best in staging, sound, lighting, video and data projections.
• Productions/Concerts: The Worship Arts department is made up of actors, singers, dancers, script writers, choreographers, graphic artists, set designers, makeup artists and the list goes on. We produce several major productions each year (Christmas, Good Friday, etc.)
• Conservatory: We offer 34 private half-hour weekly lessons taught from September through May. As an option, students can be prepared for Royal Conservatory exams, recitals, auditions, etc. We have excellent teaching staff in the areas of voice, piano, organ, violin, viola, flute and trumpet.
